S'mores Brownies

On the 4th of July we needed a perfect snack to eat while watching fireworks. What better summer snack then S’mores Brownies. This is a simple recipe yet my mother managed to mess it up…you’ll see!

You will need:

1 (21.5 ounce) package brownie mix

6 graham crackers

1 1/2 cups miniature marshmallows

8 (1.5 ounce) bars milk chocolate, coarsely chopped

How I did it:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Prepare brownie mix according to package directions. Spread into a greased 9x13 inch pan (I used muffin pans, but I now suggest using a pan)

In a medium bowl, break graham crackers into 1 inch pieces and toss with miniature marshmallows and milk chocolate. Set s'more mixture aside.

Bake brownies for 15 minutes in the preheated oven.

Remove, and sprinkle the s'more goodies evenly over the top. Bake for an additional 15 to 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. I would stick with 15 minutes.

My mother went for 20 minutes without checking on them. DISASTER!

Allow brownies to cool before cutting into squares.

I know they are probably great and hope you have better luck then I did!

Super Easy! Cheesy Pizza "Fundue"

Here is a super easy recipe that is similar to queso!

What you will need:

1 cup Spaghetti sauce

6 0z pasteurized prepared cheese (like Velveeta...I used Nice N' Cheesy heehee!)

Vegetables (any type that you like to dip

Here are the simple easy cheesy steps!

1. Cut you cheese into 1/2 inch cubes....does not have to be exact...I just cut them...watch you fingers!

Step 2: Put you cheese in a microwavable bowl and poor the spaghetti sauce over it.

Step 3: Cover the bowl with a paper towel. Microwave 2 1/2 minutes or until cheese is completely melted and mixture is well blended. You will want to stir the mixture after ever minute.

Step 4: Serve with cut up vegetables or even chunks of french bread. YUMMY!

My 1st Recipe! Fresh Apple Cake

My Mom found this recipe awhile back and I love APPLES, so I thought I would make this my first post!

First off! I had to go to the store and get my ingredients.

For this recipe you will need.

5 cups of grated apples (my mom read this wrong and we bought 5 apples)

1/2 cup vegetable oil

2 cups sugar

2 eggs

2 cups all-purpose flour

2 tsp salt

2 tsp vanilla

1 1/2 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp soda (baking soda, not cola)

1 cup raisins

1st Step: Preheat oven to 350 deg F. You will want the rack to be in the middle of the oven.

2nd Step: Grate Some Apples. For this I used our sad little food processor. It took forever and I am definitely asking Santa for a new one. When you are done your apples should look like this. We did not peel the apples.

3rd step: combine all the ingredients in a LARGE mixing bowl. You will want to mix until well blended. Poor into a greased 9 X 13 inch pan.

4th step: Bake for 45 to 60 minutes (it took mine the entire 60 minutes). You want it to be set and not giggly. It should be kind of golden brown. I used a knife to check the center.

By the time it was done cooling I was passed out on the sofa, so my mother took the final picture.

It doesn't look beautiful, but it was Yummy Yummy!

First Post By The KID!

Hello and welcome to my blog. We will call me "Kid."
I love to cook, so my mother decided to start me this blog so I can learn new recipes and share them with you. I will try to post as much as I can, but I do have a busy schedule.

Here is a little about me!

I am in the second grade!

My favorite thing to bake is cupcakes!

My favorite food is potatoes and sausage (I'll give you the recipe later).

I have one dog, two cats and a hamster.

I play soccer every weekend.

I am a Brownie. This year I sold 220 boxes of cookies!

I am an only child...that is why my mom has time to do this.

I prefer fashion over math, history or reading.

When I grow up I want to be a teacher, but I will teach fashion.

I have issues with my hair. It's always wild.
I am super outgoing! I love all my friends!
